Who is Ladybug?

Miraculous, the adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir has been THE favorite animated series for young girls since 2015. It retraces the adventures of Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste.

These two middle school students will, thanks to their respective kwami Tikki and Plagg, transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir. Equipped with magical powers and unparalleled agility, they protect the City of Light from an evil being called the Butterfly.

The Character of Ladybug

Ladybug's real name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. This 14-year-old schoolgirl is of Chinese descent on her mother's side and French on her father's side. Friendly and helpful, she is nonetheless clumsy. She is in the class of Adrien Agreste, a young model with whom she is secretly madly in love. Marinette possesses the miraculous of the ladybug, of which Tikki is the Kwami.

The character of the Black Cat

Chat Noir is none other than Adrien Agreste, muse and son of fashion designer Gabriel Agreste. Shy and reserved, this young schoolboy's heart beats only for Ladybug, whose true identity he doesn't know, namely Marinette, his classmate. Adrien has in his possession the miraculous of the cat: Plagg is his kwami.

Miraculous, a worldwide success!

The Animated Series Miraculous, the adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir was created by Thomas Astruc and produced by Jérémy Zag. It is the result of a A clever mix between superhero comics and Japanese Manga. The first broadcast took place in Korea in September 2015 and then in France in October 2015 in the youth show TFOU on the TF1 channel.

This was followed by broadcasts in the United States and Japan. This children's series is now an undisputed worldwide success. At a rate of about twenty minutes per episode, from 25 to 26 episodes per season, 3 of which have already been released, Marinette, Adrien and their respective kwamis have not finished making people talk about them!

This worldwide success led to the development of derivative products to the delight of Miraculous fans.
