The creation of the prestigious Rip Curl brand.

It was in March 1969 in Torquay, Australia, that two friends surfing fans exchanged on their shared passion, they decided to set themselves a challenge: to team up to create their surfboards. They then moved into a garage to make their equipment: the following month, the first boards were born. In November, the two friends will move into the city's former bakery and accelerate production.

Clearly associated with surfing, the Rip Curl brand is diligently involved in the technology of its products. In 1977, she produced wetsuits for windsurfers, sailors and water skiers. Then, in 1981, Rip Curl decided to sell his license. The products will now be manufactured in licensed countries in France, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, South Africa, Indonesia and Japan.
